What if I told you that the freedom this world offers is actually enslavement? Would you believe me? What if I told you that Christianity was an invitation into real freedom? Would you believe that? In the Book of Exodus, the people of Israel serve Pharaoh as slaves. Their enslavement is literal, but it is also a picture of what it looks like to be enslaved to this world.
Through Moses, God’s mediator, He will set the people of Israel free from their bondage. They will no longer have to serve Pharaoh but will be set free to serve the one true God. This was a literal freedom that took place. And yet, it is also a picture of the freedom you can have through God's greater mediator, Jesus, who is not only God's servant but also God's Son.
